Come celebrate La Voûte’s 6th season as well as the introduction of the 2024-2025 cast of La Voûte Performance Ensemble. Attendees will get a backstage pass to our design plans for our 2025 competitive production! Join us for a look back over the past five years and support the future of La Voûte!
Vive La Voûte: Varieté is a fundraising event that supports educational and performance programing at La Voûte for the 2024-2025 season. This cabaret style event will feature live performances from La Voûte as well as three of STL’s esteemed drag queens and burlesque performers to create a culminating evening of art. Visual art, donated by an array of local artists, will also be on display in our gallery as part of the silent auction.

September Intensive/Audition
Join us for our combined 2024-2025 Auditions and September Summer Intensive on Sunday, September 29th! Registered participants will have the opportunity to attend masterclasses in Dance, Flag, Rifle, and Sabre designed for a variety of skill levels (Beginning, Intermediate, Professional). Each class will offer a range of technical exercises in addition to original choreography created by the La Voûte Artistic Staff and select 2024 LVPE Cast Members. Those interested in auditioning for La Voûte Performance Ensemble or La Voûte Artistic Collective will be evaluated throughout the day. Select performers will be asked to return on Sunday, October 6th for a callback in consideration for the 2024-2025 cast of LVPE. Performers interested in LVAC will receive information regarding their audition status via email no later than Friday, October 4th.

Registered participants will have the opportunity to attend masterclasses in Dance, Flag, Rifle, and Sabre designed for a variety of skill levels (Beginning, Intermediate, Professional). Contemporary Dance Masterclass
Join us for a fun and challenging Contemporary Dance Masterclass with Isaiah Valentin! Isaiah Valentin
Isaiah Valentin (He/Him Miami, FL) began his formal dance training when he was 15 years old at Showstopper Studio Miami and continued his dance education at New World School of the Arts/University of Florida where he received his Bachelors in Fine Arts.
Isaiah developed his skills in the marching arts with the FIU Winterguard (Florida International University) where he holds a WGI World Championship Gold medal, and has had the opportunity to choreograph for them as well for multiple seasons. He has had the opportunity to professionally perform numerous times throughout his dance career with Jbalvin at the Latin awards show Premio lo Nuestro. He has also had the chance to perform works by Francesca Harper, Jennifer Archibald, Paul Taylor, Robert Battle, and Eriberto Jimenez.
Isaiah’s most recent work includes dancing with Cuban Classical ballet of Miami from 2022-2023, and he is excited to continue his journey with The Big Muddy Dance Company.

WGI World Championships

This event will feature groups in the Scholastic A, Independent A, Scholastic Open, Independent Open, Scholastic World, and Independent World Classifications. MCCGA Championships
Join us in Springfield, MO on Saturday, April 1st to celebrate the end of the season alongside 100+ teams that represent the Mid Continent Color Guard Association (MCCGA). This annual event will feature performances from the Cadet, Scholastic Regional A, Independent Regional A, Scholastic AA, Scholastic A, Independent A, Scholastic Open, and Independent Open classifications. Jazz Masterclass

St. Louis native Geoff Alexander grew up singing, acting, and tumbling. Throughout high school he traveled to annual theatre conferences then went on to Southern Illinois University Edwardsville to further his studies. While taking his first formal modern and ballet classes he fell in love with dance which prompted him to change his major from Acting leading him to earn his BA in Dance Performance. His professional career began in 2008 with the ATrek Dance Collective working with internationally renowned artists such as Germaul Barnes, Jon Lehrer, Mathew Janczewski, and Alicia Graf Mack. He eventually began teaching ATreks contemporary classes. In 2011 he auditioned for, and became a founding member of what became The Big Muddy Dance Company. Throughout his career with The Big Muddy he has performed works by notable choreographers such as Lou Conte, Harrison McEldowney, Lauri Stallings, Kirven Douthit-Boyd, Kate Skarpetowska, Robert Moses, Robyn Mineko Williams, Daniel Marshalsay, Gabrielle Lamb, Shannon Alvis, Marc Macaranas, and Brian Enos. In recent years he was able to revisit his love of musical theatre through various Variety Children’s Theatre productions including: Peter Pan, Wizard of Oz, Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins, and Beauty and the Beast. When he’s not dancing himself Geoff is a freelance choreographer and teaches contemporary, jazz, and acrobatic classes. He is currently dance faculty at his alma mater, SIUE.

Michael Baxter
Michael Baxter enjoys an exciting and diverse professional career as a choreographer, performer and educator working on National Tours, Off-Broadway and at acclaimed regional theatres and universities across the country such as The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Bucks County Playhouse, Drury Lane Theatre, Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Maltz Jupiter Theatre and The Muny. Since 2018, he serves as the Artistic Associate of The Muny.
His Muny career began in 2008, when he was hired as a performer. Between 2012 and 2018, he served as Resident Choreographer, during which time he collaborated with top artistic teams on a multitude of productions and supervised the creative expansion of the esteemed Muny Teen program. Over the last nine years, he has become a regular fixture at The Muny while expanding his professional endeavors into directing, casting and producing.
A graduate of Webster University, Michael currently serves as the primary liaison between The Muny and The Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts, where he is also an adjunct faculty member. Michael is an active member of the Actors’ Equity Association (AEA) and an associate member of the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers (SDC).

Leonides Arpon
Leonides D. Arpon (Filipino-American born in Israel) started dancing in 1987 under the direction of Rose Kassel at the Bat-Dor Dance School in Israel. He later joined their company in 1998 under the direction of Jeannette Ordman and worked with choreographers such as Luciano Cannitto, Igal Perry, Tamir Ginz and Randy Duncan.
He holds a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Dance from Hollins University in partnership with the former Forsythe Company in Frankfurt, Germany, is a recipient of the Princess Grace Award for Modern Dance and the America-Israel Cultural Foundation Scholarships.
After moving to NYC in 1999 Mr. Arpon was a principal dancer with Armitage Gone! Dance, Earl Mosley’s Diversity of Dance, Kevin Wynn, Johannes Wieland, Sean Curran and Avila-Weeks.
From 2016-2022 he worked in Japan where choreographed, danced and acted in dance productions, TV shows and commercials for companies such as NHK, Panasonic, Toshiba, Mitsubishi and Gucci.
Mr. Arpon explores creating dance for camera and shares his artistic experiences through community outreach. He has completed the Pre-Primary through Level 3 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum and the Beginner Horton Teacher Workshop with Ana Marie Forsythe.
He assists the Earl Mosley’s Institute of the Arts’ workshops in NYC and has taught around the world in schools such as the Ailey School, Princeton University, and the Peridance Capezio Dance Center in the U.S. In Israel at the Bat-Dor Dance School, Thelma Yellin School of the Arts and Bikurey Ha’Itim. In Japan at the Tokyo and Osaka Schools of Music, Broadway Dance Center Tokyo, Hinton Battle Dance Academy, Avec Grace Ballet and in the Philippines at Ballet Philippines, Philippine High School for the Arts and the University of the Philippines.
Mr. Arpon is currently the Rehearsal Director for The Big Muddy Dance Company.

Lindsay Hawkins, M.F.A.
Lindsay Hawkins, originally from Columbus, Indiana, is an artist, educator and choreographer. She is an Instructor of Dance at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, and was previously an Assistant Professor of Dance and Director of the dance program at Rockford University in Illinois for three years. She has held adjunct faculty appointments at many universities in St. Louis including Lindenwood, Wash U, SLU, and Webster University. Prior to her university teaching career, Lindsay was a company member, rehearsal director and choreographer with MADCO (Modern American Dance Co, St. Louis, MO) who has performed more than fifteen of her works in their repertory. Lindsay has set commissioned work on universities and dance companies throughout the Midwest including Leverage Dance Theater, CoMoDance, MADCO and MADCO2, the Lindenwood Dance Program, Wash U Dance Collective, and the University of Kansas. She has also taught and choreographed works for dance students at St. Louis’s Grand Center Arts Academy, Notre Dame University, Missouri State University, University of Missouri St. Louis, and Johns Hopkins University. She has collaborated with the Arianna String Quartet, Double Date a Capella Quartet, the UMSL Percussion Ensemble and Music Department, as well as photographers, vocalists, and visual artists. Lindsay earned her MFA from the University of Arizona and her BFA from Southern Methodist University.

De’Ondre Goodley
De'Ondre was born and raised in Louisiana and began his formal training at the age of 14. He went on to receive his B.F.A in Dance from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and received additional training from the American Dance Festival, the Institute for Dunham Technique, SALT Contemporary Dance, and Mutual Dance Theater. He performed and choreographed around south Louisiana and has danced for Cedar Point. He is currently a company member with The Big Muddy Dance Company.
